How does a virtual Festival work?

The 2020 Selection consists of 10 feature films presented over the course of 10 days. A new film will become available for rental every day, with the exception of the final three films which will all be made available on Friday, June 26, so that you have the weekend to watch them. We are releasing the films in the order they would have played had we been able to meet at the Crest Theatre.

Rental Conditions:

Films are available for rental for 3 days (72 hours). Please check the availability of each film on each film page. Some films have a limit on the number of rentals we can allow. We will need to make these films unavailable to rent earlier than anticipated if we reach the limit before the end of their 3-day rental period.

Once you’ve rented a film, you will have 3 days (72 hours) to watch it.

Attention: If you’ve made your purchase in advance or if you are a passholder, your rental period for the film starts as soon as that film becomes available.

Once you start watching the film, you will have 30 hours to finish it. You can watch the film multiple times within this 30 hours period, on one of your three authorized devices (Attention: Safari counts as two). Devices are automatically registered once you start watching films.

How can I connect my computer to a TV?

We all miss being at the Crest, watching the films together on the big screen. The good news is that even if you don’t have a Smart TV, you can connect your computer to your TV set. We found this tutorial online offering various options: https://www.wikihow.com/Connect-PC-to-TV

Why do I see a watermark on the left side of the screen?

This watermark, which shows a user number, is there on purpose and is a requirement of the film rights holders as an anti-piracy measure. It cannot be removed.
